Please note: This webpage was created during the 2002-2003 school year. The teachers who are shown do not necessarily teach at MCHS now, and other things may have changed. I do however hope to capture a sense of the community and life that I know will remain.

The Mount Carmel Vision

Mount Carmel High School is a Catholic secondary school located in Benque Viejo del Carmen, Belize. Given the school's Catholic identity, it is hoped that Mount Carmel Students will attain a level of Christian maturity that will bring peace, love, and joy to their own lives, and that will help them contribute to the creation of a truly Christian society here in Belize.

We believe that every youngster should have access to a secondary exucation, and therefore, we accept all qualified applicants from the Benque/Succotz area no matter their religious preference. We extend access to those outside the area who are qualified, but only when there is space available.

From the beginning Mount Carmel High School has been a Catholic high school. We are connected to the SOLT (Society of Our Lady of the most Holy Trinity) mission in Benque Viejo, with father Anthony Blount acting as manager.
